FEATURING… A Superb Offering of….. Show, Donor & Brood Cow Prospects Including Purebred, MaineTainers & Chimaine Halter Broke Open Heifers Plus 50% Semen Interest in 1 Super Herd Sire Prospect. All Open Heifers Quality for the HCC Junior Bonus Program

Friends,

Welcome to the 10th Annual HCC Customer Appreciation Sale. It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years, that is until I look in the mirror. This has been a very rewarding experience for Kay and I. We take great pride in the success of our customers and are extremely pleased as each year brings improvement in what’s available for this sale.

This sale came about ten years ago as Sloan and I were discussing what we could do to encourage greater use of HCC genetics and in turn do to assist our customers in their breeding and marketing programs. Needless to say we are very gratified with the response to this event. It has far exceeded our expectations.

In celebration of this 10th sale we have chosen to limit the offering to strictly show and donor quality animals and to have every lot halter broke and ready for exhibition should you choose. We salute and thank these dedicated consignors for committing their absolute best to this sale. We started shortly after Denver soliciting heifers for this sale and as calving season progressed we traveled extensively back and forth across the nation evaluating heifers as they developed.

The greatest satisfaction we get is seeing the second and third generation progeny of past sale animals that in recent years and
particularly this year are making the catalog. That is proof positive that this sale indeed is a source of superior seedstock and genetics you can count on. We can say with all humility that this sale has become a benchmark by which others are compared. Thanks in most part to the quality offered by our customers.

The great track record in the show ring, breeding pens and ET programs of the females sold in the past is well documented and unequalled in the breed. And the elite herdsires we’ve offered are writing breed history.

We applied extreme selection pressure this year on both the High Percentage and MaineTainer divisions and can honestly say we can recommend every lot without reservation.

You’ll note there are some low percentage heifers that are dual registered which naturally further adds to their appeal I wrote brief footnotes for the catalog but words don’t do justice to this great offering. I’m as excited about this set of sale cattle as any I’ve ever been associated with. Call on me if I can answer any questions pertaining to these cattle.

Thank You, Mike Hartman
